Toshiba Excite 7.7 Android Tablet

I am not usually fond of bringing big screens along the road worrying not to scratch my gadget even for a hairline. If bigger screen were the point, I would personally guarantee that bringing a notebook or a skinny laptop is a lot better not yet counting the total feature package and capabilities. Moving forward, I admire the breakthrough by Toshiba: the new 7.7” model from the Excite Series, now handier and lighter than ever. Though the $500 price would mean too flattering for a 7.7-screener model (well, that’s for a 16Gb Internal Memory. The 32Gb one has a price range of about $580), I still took the chance to know what’s behind the price tag.

The top selling feature of the Toshiba Excite 7.7 is too obvious to talk about: the weight and size. The 0.3”, 13-ounce tablet is really something that I would want to bring—and talk about—wherever I go, not setting aside the powerful 1280 x 800 AutoBrite AMOLED Display it showcases. This is so great that I can literally watch HD movies without trying to guess the details. Plus in the entertainment package is the oozing stereo that virtually surrounds the device and a very long battery life of approximately 10 hours for a normal run.

One thing I would like to flag also in this design is the well-integrated Tegra 3 CPU. Though the Toshiba Excite 7.7 seems not capable of accommodating serious tasks in a single go (or else you would find it extremely a pain in the neck trying to click links and buttons because of the small screen size), the hardware complements the gadget as a whole that it delivers real thrill in every experience the user can have. Adding more to the convenience is the friendliest microUSB hub; looking for a cable is totally harmless, humorously speaking.

While some would claim that the OS is less friendly and palely skinned compared to the competitors, Toshiba did not leave the contest that simple. Though small and light, the Toshiba Excite 7.7 delivers quality Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, which adds an advantage over its top competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, which was released with one an OS of Android 3.2. The Gorilla Glass and the metallic back casing also make this model a lot better and sleeker than the rest of the same size.

The 196ppi display that the Toshiba Excite 7.7 offered is at all cost great and wraps proportionally to the cameras that can shoot up to a quality of 720p (the front camera is 1.3MP, and the rear one, 5MP). What’s better in this is the wide viewing angles and clarity under the sun (as long the settings are set to the brightest). What these features mean to me is that I can share my mobile experience with my friends around my without being discouraged about the size. Great, isn’t it? Whether it’s gaming, surfing YouTube, or watching HD movies, I just know I get the right vibrant detail the way I want it at lightning speed.

Toshiba really did a great job showcasing this elegant 7.7 model as the youngest brother model to the Excite series. Toshiba gave me a great option with great possibilities, though I honestly do not like the price. I love this model from Excite because of what I can enjoy more than I can do, particularly referring to the blazing speed and a clearly toned screen. I want this model for a carry in my pocket, and I hope you did like it, too.
