Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V Digital Camera Price in Singapore, Features, and Tech Specs

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V Digital Camera Price in Singapore, Features, and Tech Specs: One thing that can always be said about Sony’s T-series, the digital cameras have never failed to be showpieces. The models of these series are slim and small point-and-shoots that are simply made to be noticed. In particular, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V, with a 3.9 x 2.4 x 0.7 inches dimension, is one of the serious attention-grabbers of the bunch.

However, don’t take it for its face value only. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V is powerful as compared to the majority of ultra-compact cameras. It’s barely more than an inch thick and features an 18MP Exmor R backside-illuminated sensor, a 3.3-inch 1.2-million-dot-resolution touch- screen OLED display and an 8x, f3.3-5.7, 28-224mm Carl Zeiss lens. To top it all off, the TX200V is waterproof to up to 16 feet of water, freeze-proof up to 14 degrees Fahrenheit and dust-proof as well. Sony has very obviously taken all the worries off the user’s hands.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V has a very high resolution of 4,896 x 3,672 pixels for photos, a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels for videos at 60fps, and 1,440 x 1,080 pixels of videos at 30fps. The TX200V is, no doubt, capable of giving its users high quality images and videos (with a continuous 29-minute recording limit). It also has both optical and digital image stabilization types. It has a Li ion rechargeable battery that is capable of taking up to 220 shots.

The photos produced by the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V look very good up to ISO 800 and at 60 to 70 percent smaller, though at 100 percent, the photos might look soft and painterly. The shots produced are bright and vivid, something that people like from a point-and-shoot. You can also tweak Sony’s auto modes for brightness, hue and saturation to your liking if you so desire. All in all, this tiny camera may just give you pictures that may rival that of a DSLR camera.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V has an ISO sensitivity range of 80-12800 as well as 10 White Balance options ranging from Daylight, Cloudy, White Fluorescent Lighting and more. The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V also has recording modes that include Intelligent Auto, Superior Auto, Program, Scene, iSweep, Panorama, Background Defocus, Picture Effect, 3D Shooting and Movie to choose from. Clearly, the array of options is never limited and users will enjoy fiddling with these options. Focus modes are not limited either as the focus options available on the TX200V are comprised of Multi Point AF, Centre Weighted AF, Spot AF, Tracking AF, Face Tracking AF and Touch AF.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V is a little digital camera that packs a whole lot of punch. It has an impressive 18MP photo quality as well as an equally impressive video capture quality. It has a speedy Exmor R sensor and a high-performance Bionz image-processor for better snapshot results. There’s also a multitude of options for brightness, hue, and saturation and the White Balance options and Recording Modes are not too shabby as well. It’s a quirky little camera that produces impressive quality photos for a point-and-shoot and it is certainly something worth trying. I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars rating.
