Apple iPad 3 Price in Singapore, Features, and Specs: After the phenomenal success of the original iPad and then the iPad 2, Apple hopes to make a three-peat by releasing the next generation iPad in the first quarter of 2012. Dubbed as the iPad 3, the device is bound to take the tablet game to the next level by offering some new, awesome, and perhaps magical features. Allow us to enumerate some of the rumored and expected features of the Apple iPad 3.

Display
At the start of the year, a lot of us expected the iPad 2 to get the Retina Display treatment just like the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S has, but a lot of us were disappointed. Now, we are pinning our hopes on the iPad 3 to finally be equipped with this stunning display technology. According to some rumors, Sharp is now busy producing the high definition display for iPad 3. So folks, let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Processor
It is likely that the iPad 3 will use a faster and more efficient processor than what’s used on the previous version. According to several reports, it will be equipped with the Samsung-manufactured A6 processor. The processor could be a quad-core or perhaps a dual-core but with a faster clock speed.
Design
Since there are no leaked photos available at the moment, we couldn’t accurately describe how it will look. But based on Apple’s design pattern, I expect the iPad 3 to be thinner and lighter than previous versions. It may come with a thinner bezel but I don’t expect some radical changes to happen in terms of design.

Size
To break the momentum of the Amazon Kindle Fire, Apple may release a smaller (possibly 7-inch) and affordable version of the iPad 3. They may call it iPad Nano or iPad Air. But this is just a prediction so please take it lightly. However, I think it’s now the perfect time for Apple to create a slightly smaller iPad in order for them to tackle the growing competition.
Camera
If you own an iPad 2, you should know that it has very poor cameras so I expect that Apple will enhance the cameras of the iPad 3. I’m guessing they will bump the sensor to at least 5 megapixels. This would make the iPad 3 a decent shooter and would enable it to handle true HD video calling via FaceTime.
Software
The iPad 3 will of course get the latest version of iOS but I don’t expect a major OS upgrade until the release of the iPhone 5. A possible exciting feature of the iPad 3 will be Siri. This popular virtual personal assistant app is not designed to work with existing iPads so I expect that Apple will make the iPad 3 a fully Siri-capable device like the iPhone 4S.

If history repeats itself, the iPad 3 will be announced in March and will be available in Singapore around April 2012. As for the price, we will be updating you through this site once the iPad 3 is officially announced.

UPDATE:

The iPad 3, simply known as the “new iPad” has finally been released. It indeed features a Retina Display with a stunning resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels. The new iPad is equipped with a dual-core Apple A5X system-on-a-chip with 1GB of RAM. It utilizes a quad-core PowerVR SGX543MP4 GPU and runs the latest iOS software (version 5.1). The 3rd generation iPad has a 5-megapixel camera, which is a big leap forward compared to its predecessor. It now supports 4G LTE cellular wireless standards. We expected the new iPad to be thinner and lighter than the iPad 2 but we were wrong. In turned out that the iPad 3 is a bit heavier and thicker (perhaps to accommodate the bigger battery) than the previous version.
