LG Nitro HD Android Smartphone Price in Singapore, Features, and Specs: The LG Nitro HD, also known as LG P930, is a smartphone released as part of AT&T 4G LTE network, together with Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and HTC Vivid. It is also the second phone to be available in the US to feature a 720p display, together with the HTC Rezound. The device was announced November last year and has been pretty much around the market since December. Among its major features are its high-resolution 720p display, super-fast LTE data speeds, as well as a powerful dual-core processor.
Physically, the LG Nitro HD measures 133.9 x 67.8 x 10.4 mm and weighs 127 grams; not exactly feather weight light and a bit chunky. It doesn’t give off an impression of cheapness, which means to say that the phone is solidly built without the undesired flex and squeaks associated with a cheap plastic cover. It has quite a general look with a straightforward rectangular shape that has a bit of curve on the edge. It is made up of a matte black plastic while the back panel has a textured feel for easy and comfortable grip.
Below the display of the LG Nitro HD are three haptic feedback-enabled capacitive keys wherein the options and search buttons have been combined – tap the capacitive key once for options or hold it down to access search – together with home and search keys. There are no physical keyboard, instead there is a virtual keyboard that can easily be utilized in either landscape or portrait mode on the large screen of the device. It has a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack as well as loudspeakers. It also contains a slot for a microSD card that can support up to 32 GB of external memory. A 16 GB card is already included in the package. There is a microUSB 2.0 port for cable file transfers.

It achieves a high resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and an approximate pixel density of 329ppi. The Advanced High-Performance In-Plane Switching display is a real stunner and has even greater pixel density than Apple’s iPhone 4S that makes use of a Retina Display. The Nitro HD’s bright display and the rich pixel density make browsing the Web and watching video a dazzling if not very entertaining experience. Also, because of the size and resolution of the screen, the user can easily view full desktop Web pages in landscape mode while managing to read from end to end.
The LG Nitro HD runs on a dual core 1.5 GHz Scorpio CPU and utilizes Adreno 220 as its graphics processor. It comes with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread as its operating system although this system is fully upgradable to version Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich once it is available. It utilizes 1 GB worth of RAM and contains an internal storage memory worth 4 GB. The phone tests high in performance assessments but comes up rather short on battery life compared to the other 4G LTE devices although the phone is said to utilize a 1830 mAh standard lithium ion battery.
As for general network connectivity, the LG Nitro HD accesses 2G network at GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, 3G network at HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100, and 4G network using the LTE 700 MHz Class 17 although at the moment, there is yet a limited LTE network coverage. As for data transfer, it has both EDGE and GPRS support. The HSDPA rate is at 21 Mbps while the HSUPA is at 5.76 Mbps, and of course there’s LTE. It also has Wi-Fi connectivity at 802.11 b/g/n with accompanying Wi-Fi Direct and DLNA, and it can also serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot device. There is Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity with A2DP and HS.
The LG Nitro HD also features a rear-facing 8 MP camera that has a resolution of 3264×2448 pixels, with autofocus and an accompanying LED flash.
